Day 2: Moshi/Arusha to Rongai Gate – Hike to Simba Camp

Today is the ultimate challenge. The hike starts in the early hours, trekking under the starlit sky towards the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. The ascent is steep and demanding, but the stunning sunrise views from the summit of Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, will make it all worthwhile.
After reaching the summit and celebrating this monumental achievement, you’ll begin your descent back to Kibo Hut for a brief rest, then continue descending to Horombo Hut for an overnight stay.

As you descend, the temperature will rise, and the landscape will shift from alpine desert to tropical rainforest. Along the way, you may encounter wildlife such as monkeys and various bird species. The descent is long, but the beautiful surroundings make it an enjoyable journey.
You’ll arrive at Marangu Gate in the afternoon, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha.
Celebration and Departure: At Marangu Gate, you will receive your summit certificate, marking the successful completion of your climb. Take some time to celebrate your achievement with your fellow trekkers and guides before transferring back to your hotel.
